On the opening day of the China International Industry Fair (CIIF), Mr. Wang Guangneng, Chairman and General Manager of Huayan Robotics, officially unveiled the Embodied AI Motion Platform.

Designed for partners across the Embodied AI ecosystem, the platform provides a standardized, modular, and open physical foundation for embodied robots. Backed by more than 20 years of technological expertise and real-world experience, it is built to accelerate Embodied AI from development to real-world deployment.

Built on More Than 20 Years of Technology and Real-World Applications

AI foundation models are becoming increasingly capable. They can write poetry, create images, and engage in sophisticated conversations. Yet when asked to perform seemingly simple physical tasks—such as tightening a screw, inserting an optical module, or making a specialty ice cream creation—the challenge becomes much greater.

The reason is that even the simplest physical actions rely on the coordinated integration of multiple capabilities, including perception, force control, motion control algorithms, and robotic mechanical architecture. This is fundamentally a systems-engineering challenge.

While foundation models address the “brain” of intelligence and cognition, whether the “body” can execute movements precisely, interact compliantly, and maintain a stable closed loop remains one of the key bottlenecks preventing Embodied AI from moving beyond demonstrations and into real production environments.

With more than two decades of technological expertise in core robotic motion components and related fields, Huayan Robotics has developed capabilities across three layers: core motion components, robotic bodies, and Embodied AI. These capabilities provide the industry and its partners with an integrated physical foundation extending from the “powertrain” to the “end effector.”

Importantly, these capabilities were not assembled overnight. They have been developed through years of technological research, product iteration, and continuous deployment at customer sites worldwide, where they have been tested and refined in demanding industrial environments.

Joints: The Reliable Physical Framework

Huayan Robotics began with one of the most fundamental and critical elements of a robot—the joint module—and has developed comprehensive capabilities covering key components such as motors, servo drives, and brakes.

These include a new permanent-magnet braking technology that can reduce energy consumption by up to 99% compared with conventional electromagnetic brakes, more efficient servo drive and vibration suppression technologies, and a systematic approach to managing heat generation during joint operation.

Together, these technologies provide embodied robots with a reliable physical framework.

The joint architecture also features a large hollow structure with a minimum inner diameter of 12 mm for internal cable routing, while supporting multiple technical approaches—including harmonic, planetary, cycloidal, dual-steel-wheel, and linear transmission technologies—to provide the most suitable actuation solution for different robotic positions and tasks.

Force Control: Giving Every Joint a Sense of Force

Huayan Robotics has developed its own high-sensitivity MEMS force sensors, achieving extremely low creep and hysteresis (creep <0.05% FS; hysteresis <0.1% FS), ultra-high sensitivity (sensitivity coefficient >100; accuracy up to 0.1% FS), and excellent consistency in mass production.

Combined with Huayan Robotics’ proprietary force-control algorithms, these technologies enable every joint to perceive force.

The 7-Axis Humanoid Robotic Arm integrates high-precision force control across all joints with advanced impedance control technology. The system delivers a force-control bandwidth of ≥100 Hz, force-control accuracy of ≤0.02 Nm, and end-effector contact-force accuracy of 0.1 N, while supporting a wide payload range from 3 kg to 15 kg.

With millisecond-level response to external forces, the system continuously detects changes in contact forces and dynamically adjusts posture and output torque. This enables human-like tactile and force interaction in applications such as precision assembly and flexible grasping, where controlled contact and delicate manipulation are essential.

Body Bandwidth & HRC Cerebellum: Millisecond-Level Closed-Loop Control

Huayan Robotics’ HRC robotic cerebellum is designed to efficiently connect with a wide range of foundation models. Built around a 1 kHz EtherCAT real-time control refresh rate, it connects the robot body, joints, drives, vision, force sensing, and tactile sensing into a unified control architecture, enabling millisecond-level perception, computation, control, and correction.

As a result, the Embodied AI Motion Platform is no longer simply a collection of individual components. Instead, it provides a general-purpose physical foundation that is perceptive, controllable, and open.

At the 9th CEO Roundtable Forum held during CIIF, Mr. Wang Guangneng shared his perspective on the theme “Reshaping Intelligent Manufacturing with Embodied AI”:

“In the past, robots were designed for dedicated applications. In the era of Embodied AI, what we need is one physical foundation supporting multiple forms. Whoever standardizes the motion platform can map foundation-model capabilities into the physical world at a lower cost.”

Built on Huayan Robotics’ Embodied AI Motion Platform, partners can rapidly develop embodied capabilities for multi-form development, cross-scenario migration, and scalable replication. This enables them to expand application scenarios more efficiently, improve deployment and delivery efficiency, and accelerate large-scale commercial adoption.

From Industrial Manufacturing to Consumer Services: Embodied AI Moves Toward Real-World Deployment

The ultimate test for Embodied AI is whether it can create stable, measurable value in real production lines and commercial environments.

Real-world deployment is the true test. Scalable delivery is the dividing line.

Huayan Robotics’ evolution reflects precisely this path: from core motion components to collaborative robot bodies, and from robotic bodies to the Embodied AI Motion Platform. Along the way, Huayan Robotics has accumulated extensive experience across real customer applications, spanning industrial manufacturing and commercial services. Every stage of this evolution has been shaped by real-world requirements.

In the optical module insertion and removal demonstration showcased at CIIF, Huayan Robotics’ 7-Axis Humanoid Robotic Arm goes beyond fixed-point operation. Working together with a mobile platform, it can autonomously navigate to the target workstation and perform flexible insertion and removal of QSFP optical modules, with an insertion stroke of 20 mm at a speed of 10 mm/s.

Throughout the operation, high-precision force control and vision guidance work together to adapt the robot’s posture and applied force in real time. Continuous collision protection helps reduce the risk of collision and damage to precision interfaces, enabling more reliable handling of delicate components.

At the robot coffee station jointly developed by Huayan Robotics and its partner, a 7-Axis Humanoid Robotic Arm and collaborative robot work together to complete a series of tasks, including picking and placing coffee cups, milk-foam preparation, beverage serving, and two-arm latte art.

With more responsive and compliant force control, the robotic system can emulate complex hand movements and coordinate multiple operations, helping create a new benchmark for intelligent retail and commercial service applications.

Across the CIIF exhibition floor, numerous partners are already leveraging the hardware and software capabilities provided by Huayan Robotics to build their own application scenarios—from precision assembly and flexible grasping to industrial production lines and commercial services.

“We provide comprehensive support spanning core components and robotic platforms, force-control algorithms and real-time control systems, serving as the execution foundation behind a growing range of Embodied AI applications.”

From CIIF to Real-World Applications

Embodied AI is not a competition around a single technology. It is a systems-engineering challenge.

Huayan Robotics’ Embodied AI Motion Platform is built around joints, force control, body bandwidth, and the HRC robotic cerebellum, with an open and general-purpose architecture serving as the interface for partners.

This enables multi-form development, cross-scenario migration, and scalable replication.

Starting at CIIF, Huayan Robotics is working together with its partners to turn Embodied AI from a concept into a technology that delivers real value in the physical world.
