On May 13, 2026, the 18th China International Battery Fair (CIBF 2026) officially opened in Shenzhen. At the booth of Huayan Robotics, a Siemens Xcelerator Ecosystem Partner, a collaborative robot was drawing significant attention as it performed battery pack screwdriving operations with remarkable precision. Its smooth motion, micron-level positioning accuracy, and highly controlled fastening torque showcased the advanced automation capabilities required for next-generation battery manufacturing.

 

Strength: High Torque and Heavy-Duty Performance for Battery Pack Assembly

 

Screwdriving is a critical process in the production of power batteries and energy storage systems. Traditional manual operations often face challenges such as labor shortages, high work intensity, and inconsistent fastening quality. Huayan Robotics addresses these challenges with high-performance collaborative robots engineered specifically for demanding industrial environments.

Leveraging redundant core component design and Huayan’s proprietary dual-joint module architecture, the robot is capable of withstanding substantial tightening forces and delivering fastening torque of up to 300 N·m. It can reliably perform the complete screwdriving process—including screw picking, positioning, and fastening—while simultaneously collecting, monitoring, and tracing fastening data in real time.
